Hepatitis B vaccine: Why Get Vaccinated? Hepatitis B is a serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). It spreads through blood and bodily fluids and can lead to chronic liver disease, liver failure, or cancer. Vaccination is the best way to prevent infection. Who Should Get Vaccinated? • All babies—part of routine immunization schedules. • People at higher risk, including: • Healthcare workers. • People who inject drugs. • Those with chronic liver or kidney disease. • Travelers to regions where hepatitis B is common. • Close contacts of someone with hepatitis B. Vaccine Schedule • Standard Course: Three doses over six months. • Accelerated Course: Four doses over two months (for those needing faster protection). Very rapid schedule of four doses: 0, 7 and 21 days. 4th dose at 12 months on energix B vaccine • Booster Doses: Generally not needed for healthy individuals but may be recommended for high-risk groups. How It’s Given • Administered as an injection in the upper arm. Side Effects • Usually mild, including soreness at the injection site, fever, fatigue, or headache. Additional Precautions • Avoid sharing needles or personal items that may come into contact with blood. • Practice safe sex to reduce transmission risk. • If exposed to hepatitis B, seek medical attention immediately.

Arrival Time** Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to avoid delays for other patients. **4. Walk-ins** Walk-in services are welcome but subject to availability. Booking in advance is strongly recommended for guaranteed service. **5. Identification & Documentation** For certain services (e.g., vaccinations, travel consultations), please bring valid photo ID and any relevant medical or travel documents. **6. Consent** By booking an appointment, you consent to receive treatment from a qualified healthcare professional under our standard procedures and privacy policy.
